Finally! Coco Avant Chanel movie is released this month. Although the trailers available are still in French, we know it focuses on Chanel's childhood and early womanhood. It is about the events and people that shaped her before she became famous.
In this flick, Anne Fontaine, the director/writer, not only cover Coco's life story from her early career choice as a cabaret singer -- where she gained the nickname "Coco" while singing "Who's seen coco in the Trocadero" -- but also when she started to learn how to sew in an orphanage as a child, then later to make costumes for herself as a cabaret singer and for other singers when she was a young woman, which ultimately led her to achieve career in fashion industry.
